When you become a host, you take on some
responsibilities to ensure a comfortable and
enriching experience for your student.

Here’s what you are expected to supply:

Private, Furnished Room:

Essential furnishings such as a bed, wardrobe, drawers, and a bedside light.

Study Area:

A desk in the bedroom or a designated quiet area in your home where the student can study effectively.

Heating and Cooling:

Ensure that the room is equipped with adequate heating and cooling options for year-round comfort.

Utilities:

Gas/electricity & water.

Meals:

Daily dinners, breakfasts and lunch on weekends.

Household Essentials:

Communal items like toilet paper, hand soap, and basic necessities like light bulbs. You are not expected to supply personal products.

Sheets, blankets, bed coverings, and towels

Laundry:

Access to a clothes washing machine.

Television & Internet:

Reliable internet access is crucial for students. Please note that student access is usually limited to emails and study purposes, not for streaming or downloading movies.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, you create a warm and welcoming environment for your student, facilitating a positive homestay experience for all.
