It is a legal requirement that you have liability insurance that covers students who are residing with you. This is to cover you in the unlikely event that your student/s injure themselves in your home.

Public Liability Insurance that covers students residing in your home is a hosting requirement. Public Liability Insurance is the responsibility of Host families. Talkabout Tours is not liable in the event of a student injuring themself while in your care. If you are already insured for your Home and/or Contents this is as easy as calling your insurer and letting them know you will be hosting an International student in your house. Often they just change the code on your policy at no extra cost. We have a list of insurance companies who offer this cover within their home and contents policy, if your current insurance company does not. Please let us know if you would like more information or clarification.
